I may be too critical, but that is exactly what I dislike. It sounded good when it was recommended to me by my local library as I like Scandinavian authors but I could not get into it.

I have to say that I did not like this Rebecka Martinsson novel, because I very much liked 1 and 2 in the series. Exhaustion in the face of how crap everything is. It says on the book that it is “another Rebecca Martinsson mystery” but to me it seemed like it is about loads of people but not mainly about Rebecca Martinsson.
At the root of it all is a horrifying, century-old crime, the tendrils of which continue to hold the small community in their grip. We get to know about her family and her obsession with her boss.
